Its been an exhilarating journey that has brought guitarist Alex Kramer from his humble roots in the most vibrant musical communities in the country to the international stage and screen. Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Alex was brought up under the tutelage of the finest musicians in the city, his father being a 30-year veteran of the music industry. In 2007, Alex moved to yet another music mecca, Memphis, TN, after being awarded a full music scholarship to the University of Memphis. He quickly rose to prominence in the Memphis music scene playing with the top musicians and artists in the region.
In 2009, following the success of his national television platform on MTVs Making His Band, he relocated again to Los Angeles, continuing his career as an A-list sideman, and is currently among the most visible figures in L.A.s R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, and Gospel communities.
Alexs various endeavors as a guitarist and producer in the music industry have lead him to sharing the stage and studio with many world renowned artists including Sean Diddy Combs, New Kids On The Blocks Joey McIntyre, Tyrese, Tank, Kenny Lattimore, Latoya Luckett of Destinys Child, Jon B., Wanya Morris of Boys II Men, Melanie Fiona, Bilal, Floetry, Ledisi, SA-RA Creative Partners, K.D. Brosia, Gospel legends Tye Tribbett, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Sheri Jones-Moffett, Johnny B. Williams, Ivan Parker, Comedians Marlon Wayans, Tommy Davidson and Lunelle, producers JR Hutson and LT Hutton, Kool and the Gangs Al Parris, The Mary Jane Girls, Alex Isley, Tonya Watts, film composer Scott Bomar (Hustle and Flow, Black Snake Moan), and the famous Wooten Brothers.
Alex has toured internationally as a guitarist and has played on records that have gained nominations for Grammys and Dove awards. He has performed on national television broadcasts including the MTV, BET, E! Entertainment, and TBN networks. Alex was recently featured prominently on MTVs Making His Band, where he attained the top ranking position in the nation as a guitar player (out of more than 40,000 musicians that auditioned).
