Biscuit is a professional bass guitarist with some twenty years experience under his belt and hails from England/United Kingdom. After many years in the music business playing and recording with various bands, he decided to embark on a solo career in 2006.
Within only a year of this, Biscuit became an Artist/Endorsee for Spector bass guitars and was also approached by Larry Hartke, during the early part of 2008 with a view to using his bass rigs, and so he became an Artist for Hartke systems too.
In November 2008, Larry also proclaimed Biscuit as one of his three best unsigned bass players for the company world wide, and he was also added to the endorsing artist's list for Planet Waves cables and accessories too, all of which he saw as a major step forward as a solo artist.
At the moment Biscuit is currently keeping the "Low End" down with two hard hitting bands in the UK, "Eighth Deadly Sin" and also "One Night Stand" while continuing to work on new material for his own latest Solo project. In addition to all of this, he is conducting session work and teaching, as well as holding Bass clinics. He is always kept very busy. Biscuit is also a Journalist for Bass Musician Magazine, with his own column. "It's a very busy time at the moment, but all very well worth it, and I wouldn't have it any other way" he says.
Biscuit uses Dean Markley’s Blue Steel NPS Bass 5-String, ML gauge.
And Biscuit says about his Dean Markley Strings:
I was using another major string company for many years, and was convinced there was none better.
But I tried out the Dean Markley Blue Steels and found them to be absolutely awesome in regards to their tonal clarity, quality of build, and durability. The Blue Steels give me those sweet bright tones and the low end growls, and warmth of feel too… and in fact, everything in between as well. They are the “complete” bass strings for me, and after discovering these beauties, I can safely say that I will never go back and use any other bass string again. It's Dean Markley all the way for the “Biscuit”!
