Charles Sedlak is an international recording and touring artist, having logged nine albums to date. This fantastic New Age Flamenco artist played for the 2000 Grammy Awards dinner, where Carlos Santana led a standing ovation. It was his marvelous talent and good fortune that got Charles selected as one of six students for Christopher Parkenings once-a-year Master Class. Recently, his performing ability and intense interest in education have allowed him to be chosen as one of the first accomplished musicians on Dean Markleys new Educational Support Team.
Between his tours, Charles teaches 70 students in his Music TheoryClassical and Flamenco Guitar class at Music Unlimited in Dublin, California. This virtuoso is also on the Board of Classical Advisors at Dean Markley Strings, where his knowledge, ear, and feel of what is right and wrong in a string are invaluable. The keen insight Charles has garnered from his collaboration with many musicians around the world adds to Dean Markley Strings being on the cutting edge in providing what is needed in Classical/Flamenco strings. When prototypes are created, Charles is among those who extensively tests the new strings. Actually, he has been the catalyst for the development of new Classical/Flamenco strings.
Charles is ebullient about Dean Markleys soon-to-be-released high tension, clear treble classical strings. His educated judgement: They are absolutely the best strings I have ever played, and I believe Ive played them all.
