David Cullen started playing the guitar at the age of seven, delving into Folk music and the Blues. From there, he found a love of Jazz and Classical. He graduated from the Hartt School of Music, and, along with John Abercrombie, Ralph Towner, and Wayne Krantz, David studied under Sharon Isbin and Manuel Barrueco.
David has recorded 9 CDs for Solid Air Records. He is also featured on numerous Windham Hill Compilation CDs. He's 2 books through Warner Brothers/Alfred Publications are Jazz, Classical And Beyond and Grateful Guitar. David's DVD titled Jazz, Classical And Beyond is available through AcousticMusicResource.com. You may have heard him performe with Will Ackerman, Samite of Uganda, The Jaco Big Band, Michael Manring, and with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
