David Kline Jr. is a born Minneapolis Minnesota native. He remembers his mother singing along with Etta James and Little Richard. At the age of 5, his father bought him a toy classical guitar that he would use to pretend to play Kiss songs in the mirror. David became obsessed with the dream of being in a band someday.
At age 15, David became very serious about the desire to play guitar, doing his share of various odd jobs to buy a 1986 Charvel Model 5 guitar in a Black Cherry finish. David took lessons with Guitarist Chris Weber (UPO Guitarist and a Former Member of Hollywood Rose) at a local Guitar shop, Rock Guitar Center, located in a seedy area of Minneapolis, trading art supplies for lessons.
David eventually left a promising career in BMX to pursue guitar! Since then David has made some of his childhood dreams come true. Playing in several bands and as a guest artist on some great projects, as well as being a product clinician and guitar teacher.
David plays for the band Slow Hypnotic End, he is a product clinician, teacher, and is working on his 4th Instrumental Guitar release.
David Kline Jr. plays Dean Markleys NickelSteel Electric LT gauge.
David's experience with his Dean Markley strings:
I have tried everything else. Nothing compares in tone and feel. I have been using Dean Markley for about 12 years now. I love them. A string and company that stands the tests in every forum. Most of all they stay in tune better than anything I have tried. Be sure to visit the David Kline Jr website at:
