Gerry Leonard has one of the most eclectic lists of album performances
today. Ranging from David Bowie (R) to
Avril Lavigne to Paula Cole. He now heads
up his own project, Spooky Ghost, and
hes touring with David
Bowie on his Reality Tour along with
guitarist Earl Slick (L), who happens has a very interesting story
of his own.
When Earl was 12 he saw the Beetles on the Ed Sullivan Show and was inspired to pick up guitar. 16 years later, John Lennon asked him to play on his new album, Double Fantasy. Needless to say, he was elated.
Up until this point, Earl had made a name for himself, playing hundreds of gigs and eventually getting noticed by David Bowie. He began touring with him in 1974 and played on three top 10 albums in three years. He parted ways with Bowie for almost two decades and then reunited with David in 2000. Truly two great musicians!
Gerry and Earl use Vintage Bronze 12 String Acoustic LT, Nickel Steel Electric LTHB, MTHB & Reg, and Vintage Bronze Acoustic Med LT
