Gabe Rosales has broken many barriers in musical genres and as
an artist. His purest forms of musical endeavors have crossed
over many boundaries, combining many styles to encompass pure
emotion and energy.
At the age of 10, this chicano artist gained experience on the
piano and on the classical guitar before he turned to his main
instrument the bass guitar at age 14. With formal self
teaching, sporadic lessons, and hour upon hour of practice, Gabe
began expanding his musical tastes to a wide variety of death
metal, jazz fusion, funk, hip hop, and blues. By age 19 in 1998,
Gabe landed a voice on guitar god George Lynchs new Lynch
Mob album Smoke This. Through word of mouth, Gabe
landed many high profile gigs, from touring with Jennifer Lopez
in Europe to playing heavy fusion gigs.
At age 30, Gabe is finally releasing his own album, which will
encompass all the styles that have made a mark on his psyche.
This solo album has many amazingly talented artists such as Dave Weckl, Paul Pesco, Riz Story, Prashant Aswani, Divine Styler, and many others.
Gabe Rosales uses NickelSteel
Bass 5-string ML.
Gabe places great reliance
on his Dean Markley strings:
Dean Markley strings have been consistently great sounding and
long lasting for metal, fusion, AND funk. Tone is your voice
as an artist and player, Dean Markley strings have helped me
define what I present to the world.
