Hank Jr. was born on May 26, 1949 into American Country Music Royalty. His music training started when he was old enough to hold a guitar. Hanks first performance was at the Grand Ole Opry at age 11, and he released his first record by the time he was 14, which became a hit.
During the eighties, he had nine albums on the Billboard charts, a feat unequaled by any artist. During his long and glorious career, Hank has received 20 gold, five platinum, and a double platinum album. Add to the accolades his distinction of being the only country artist to receive an Emmy Award (1990, 91, 92, 93)for his rousing opening theme for ABCs Monday Night Football.
Hank Williams has played Dean Markley Blue Steel Electric Regular and Vintage Bronze Acoustic Medium gauge strings for as long as he can remember.
When it comes to getting that great Acoustic sound, Hank does it the right way. Hank has relied on his faithful Dean Markley ProMag Pickup to astound his audience, performance after performance.
