Heathers adventurous childhood of sailing in the Caribbean was the inspiration for what would eventually become her latest album, Sirens. Playing violin and guitar gave Heather the vehicle to communicate, which substituted for her feeling different when she was growing up. She wound up performing for the British Academy Of Songwriters, and got the opportunity to record her first EP. Heathers major breakthrough came in 1995, when her single Walk This World was released to international radioplay. Her latest effort produced numerous hits, noticeably London Rain which was picked up by the popular TV show Dawsons Creek. In 1998 during Heathers world tour, she joined up with the Lilith Fair for a series of shows culminating in London, where it all began for Heather almost ten years ago.
All Heather ever uses are Dean Markley NickelSteel Electric Lt & Reg gauges, and Vintage Bronze Med-Lt gauge acoustic guitar strings. Heathers bass player, Bastion Juel, also relies on Dean Markley strings. He uses Flat Wound Med-Lt.
