Jeff Ament rose to fame along with one of the most famous bands of the 90s, ’Pearl Jam.’ This native of Big Sandy, Montana helped usher in the phenomenon know as ’grunge’, a movement in the early 90’s that was focused on darkly depressing lyrics, hard driving musical backbone and anti-fame, anti-rock star status.
Armed with a flannel shirt, raw musical talent and a 4-string, fretted bass, Ament helped turn the music scene around. Ament, along with his fellow Pearl Jam band mates, contributed so much of their energy, talent and passion into their music despite being ridiculed for their antics and controversially dark music and lyrics.
Ament has used his musical talent to raise money for both community youth programs and national nature preservations. It is clear that Jeff Ament is not only a talented bassist but also a driven, caring human being who is hell bent on making everything he touches just a little but better.Jeff uses SR2000 Med. 4-string & 5-String.
