Jim Ledford

Haling from a small town in the Hudson Valley, NY area, Jim Ledford has been a professional guitar player and performing musician for over two decades. Already during this early stage of his career (1980s), Jim was labeled as a very seasoned guitar player. Radio spots in the Orange County NY area were an enjoyable gig for him back then.

During the early 1990s, Jim had the pleasure of working on, and recording music projects with the audio visual department of the United States Military Academy, West Point NY. He also played warm up for many classic rock acts, one of which was Foghat.

Jim played many local venues in the tri State area during his career, and many times he recorded privately on the area musicians’ CD projects. He even contributes his time teaching guitar privately to a limited number of students, helping to produce many fine guitar players through out his years as an instructor.

Jim is currently producing his own CD/EP which should be available the summer of 2007. His CD will be listed under the progressive instrumental guitar rock genre.

Jim uses Blue Steel Electric LT strings.

Jim Ledford said:

“As a member of the Dean Markley family of musicians, I would like to take this opportunity to express to other guitar players that Blue Steel Electric guitar strings are truly a step up in the right direction if you are looking to enhance your playing experience. You will find that the tone and life of Blue Steel strings are far beyond all others.

“So if you’re looking for the extra edge in the music scene as a guitarist, do yourself a big favor and pick up a set of Blue Steels.

“Also I’d like to say that David from Dean Markley Strings has been extremely helpful with everything for me, and I look forward to a great relationship with him and the Dean Markley company. “
