Jose Carlos Matos has been around music and musical instruments all his life. His father was a great drummer and provided him with all the tools to pursue music. Having started on the piano at eight, he soon changed to electric guitar in his teens after Eddie Van Halen infected him with his incredible riffs and solos. He has been a professional musician for almost 20 years now and has been doing a lot of work as a hired gun for big acts as a Musical Director/Lead Guitarist touring all over Portugal and Europe.
His emotional playing has reached hundreds of thousands and gained respect amongst his fellow musicians. He is currently endorsing Yamaha Guitars and has done tours with the company demoing their amazing instruments. He plans to broaden his horizons soon by doing more worldwide gigs.
