Marcus Henderson fell in love with the guitar at an early age,
but, lacking one, had to make do with a tennis racket. Luckily,
he didnt turn into a Wimbledon Hero. Upon obtaining a real
axe, he practiced and played relentlessly, with En Vogue, The
Hellbillys, and the Marginal Prophets, as well as the usual number
of Good-Bands-Youve-Never-Heard-Of. His playing reached
a wide audience with the release of the Guitar Hero video game
series, with Marcus handling the majority of the lead and rhythm
assignments. In this process, his ability and versatility was
impressively showcased. The Flying V that he used for the recordings
is on display in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Marcus
Henderson Signature model guitar, The Apparition,
was released by Epiphone in November 2008.
Marcus has traditionally used Dean Markleys Blue
Steel Electric LT & CL for all his recordings
and live shows but now uses Dean Markleys NickelSteel
Electric CL, and hes noticed
that his new Signature guitars richness and tone are dramatically
enhanced by them.
Marcus Henderson has long
used Dean Markley strings:
For
20 years, Ive used Dean Markley Blue Steel LT & CL on virtually
every recording and live show Ive performed. With the release
of my new signature model with Epiphone, Ive begun using
the Signature Series NickelSteel Electric CL strings because
they compliment the tone woods of my guitar whilst adding an
overall richness to the sound.
