This time, Shannon Lawson wanted to bring it all back home.
I felt like I needed to get back to doing what I do best, which is high-energy acoustic music, says Lawson, whose big, rangy voice and sharp instrumental picking garner rave reviews and enthusiastic fans wherever he performs. We wanted our new music to represent what we do live, which is really bluegrass rock n roll. People love it because its earthy and simple and it rocks.
With new songs like "Smokin 'grass", "Just Like A Redneck", "My First Ride", and "Giddy Up Cadillac", Lawson has found a style all his own. With the help of his involvement with MuzikMafia, Shannon has found a creative outlet to let his music progress to the next level. "We've got a variety of styles in the MuzikMafia, and it's created somewhat of a renaissance in country music, we all feed off each other's music, and it opens new opportunities to express ourselves."
Watch for Shannon on the road with the MuzikMafia this yearand a new album early 2006.
Shannon uses Dean Markley Vintage Bronze MED Gauge, Alchemy ML and MED, Mandolin Light gauge, and Banjo Lights.

Dean Markleys are the strings I prefer for all studio recording and live performances. David Leinhard has been a huge supporter and I am very grateful.
