Steve also produced the CD Whats Left Dont Feel Right for Bay Area blues band Kathleen Cairns and Tattoo Blue. Eight of his original songs are included on this album.
Steve can also be heard on recent CDs by Deacon Jones, Jake Sampson, and Bandito.
Steve Dunne plays Dean Markley’s Super V Reg and tunes his Axe with Dean Markley’s PT-13.
Heres what Steve says about his Super Vs:
The Dean Markleys Super Vs are the best electric guitar strings I have ever used. I recently switched to them from another major brand, and the improvement in my tone is amazing. These strings really sustain, so much so that I find myself using less overdrive/distortion, getting all the sustain I need while keeping the natural sound of the guitar intact. The word that comes to mind to describe this tone is wood. The Super Vs have a very round, balanced sound. Plenty of mids and bottom, combined with crystal clear highs. These strings sound great for everything from heavy rock sounds to bluesy leads and warm, mellow jazz tones.
I would recommend that any guitar player looking to improve their tone try out the Super Vs before spending money on new pickups, stomp boxes, etc. This could be the solution to finding that great tone!
And
What Steve had to say about the Dean Markley’s PT13:
“The PT-13 is an excellent tuner for any application, especially live playing. It is very accurate and very easy to read, even in bright sunlight. I recently played an outdoor show where the sun was shining directly on me (and my pedals). I couldn’t see the readout on my MIDI pedal or the LEDs on my stomp boxes, but I could read the PT13 perfectly! Gotta love it...”
