British born guitarist Stuart Smith started his playing career at the early age of seven with serious classical guitar training. He later became friends with guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow fame. Ritchie took Stuart “under his wing” and personally taught him tricks of the trade which helped him hone his craft. Stuart went on to play guitar with the reformed Sweet, and Aliens Of Extraordinary Ability (The L.A. based band with Keith Emerson). Stuart just finished his solo album called Heaven & Earth. On the new album you hear why Stuart’s riffs and phrasings make him stand out as one of todays unique players with outstanding talent.
