I received my ProMag pick-up yesterday. Here's my one-word product review: incredible. I mean, if this was a $300 permanently installed pickup run through a $200 preamp, I'd say, “Works as advertised.” I wouldn't be a bit disappointed. But this is a $90 device that inserts easily, doesn't hurt the guitar (don't mess with my Taylor!), and then pops right out.
No ugly preamps on the side, no endpin jacks, no nothing but the guitar you're playing. 90% of the time my guitar is not plugged in, so why have it screwed up all the time? More…
